Description
Pretty gold metal lantern with 3 lights in a louis XVI style. The originality of this lamp comes from the "bulging" glass, I.e. There is a glass cylinder, in one piece, inside the "frame" of gold metal. This lantern has another uniqueness: the lights, "placed" on a platform inserted on the central rod, are suspended in some way, nothing connects them to the lower part of the frame. It is the stem, attached to the top, that keeps it all. Bronze for some parts probably, it's relatively heavy anyway, and when you unscrew the piece from below, it's golden shiny inside, as well as for the wooden-piton, heavy and golden. Other parts have lost their gilding, so we see that it is gold metal on the surface. It may be from the 1980s, but it is not certain. This lantern is in relatively good condition: the glass is intact and that is the main thing and it becomes rare. I have not tested the electrical system, but it is not in too bad condition for its age, to check all the same. No solidity problems on the frame. But traces of time and poor maintenance: the false candles used to hide the bulb sockets are to be changed, they crumble to the touch. And the metal is dull, with stains and traces of corrosion in places, gilding is absent or tarnished in places. It is in its juice, not even cleaned, and will therefore have to undergo some care. This lantern measures 38 cm high (body of the lamp), about 68 cm with the "chain" of attachment and the cover-piton, about 18 cm in diameter.she weighs 2.3 kg.
