Old repoussé brass planter

Very beautiful large antique oval planter in repoussé brass, richly adorned with a relief floral decoration. The central part features a superb decoration entirely crafted in repoussé, composed of roses, flowers, foliage, and scrolls, with numerous finely modelled details. The moulded borders nicely frame this decoration and highlight the oval shape of the planter. It rests on small decorative feet shaped like paws, which give it a lot of character and a lovely presence. The interior is darker and patinated. The brass has been polished but shows a nuanced patina with some darker spots. The interior is in its original condition with shaded bronze tones. A few minor small dents are part of the history of this splendid piece. Weight 1.470kg.
