Vintage faux bamboo dining set with original fabric, 1980s

Beautiful and highly decorative vintage dining set from the 1980s, consisting of a round dining table and four matching chairs: two armchairs and two side chairs. The set features an elegant faux-bamboo frame in an olive-green to brown painted finish, highlighted with lighter detailing that accentuates the bamboo joints. The gently distressed surface gives the set a wonderfully aged and sophisticated appearance. The round table has a cane/rattan inset top protected by a circular glass top. Its four curved legs and bamboo-inspired detailing echo the design of the chairs. The chairs have woven cane backs, bamboo-style frames, and decorative latticework. The two armchairs feature geometric openwork sides, and all four chairs retain their original 1980s patterned upholstery in terracotta, olive green, ochre, brown, and blue. Decorative nailhead trim finishes the seats. This ensemble combines Hollywood Regency, Chinoiserie, and faux-bamboo design, with the relaxed elegance of Palm Beach and Mediterranean interiors.
