Art Deco female sculpture in bronze with onyx base.

Elegant Art Deco sculpture (circa 1920-1930) representing a reclining female nude in a fluid and graceful posture. Genuine bronze: Very fine craftsmanship, with detailed chiselling (notably the work on the hair strands and the delicate modelling of the back). Original brown/medal patina showing superb and authentic surface wear due to age. Exceptional base: The bronze rests on a massive and thick natural green onyx plate (2cm thick) in a "raw rock" style on the edge, revealing beautiful geological veins in shades of brown, orange, and pink. Unsigned model, but the fixing system under the base is original and intact, with its flat-slot brass screws embedded in cavities for perfect flat support. Ideal "cabinet" dimensions: Length 19 cm|Width 9 cm for the plate, dimensions of the sculpture: length 15 cm. Weight: 1 kg. A sought-after size, easy to place on a sideboard, a fireplace, or a desk.
