Magnificent Virgin of Olot, with glass eyes! It measures 54 cm and is made of wood, plaster, and glass. It is a work from the city of Olot (stamped on the back), in Spain, known for its religious works. Work of great finesse, with painted decorations that highlight the brilliance of the glass eyes! It is mounted on a painted wooden base and surrounded by four cherubs lost in a cloud. One of them, fully represented, stands under the blue cape of the Virgin. The faces are very successful, especially that of the Virgin. We note the brass halo fixed in her holy hair and the worked position of the hands on her chest. Her beige dress, which falls in folds on her feet, offers sought-after patterns in several colors. The religious works of Olot are known, but not all of this quality or this size. Height: 54 cm. Width: 25 cm. Depth: 20 cm. The price is firm, thank you. Les-meubles-terra.
