adult-sized desk with black flap & raw natural

Large adult-sized desk with inclined to felling tray. Artisanal manufacturing 20 years. The base presents a pretty patina with vestiges of the different shades it has covered over time (traces of beige and white). The tray, which was already black when the furniture was mottled, was sanded while preserving the artisanal and raw appearance (the reliefs of the knots, veins of the wood remain visible to the eye and sensitive to the touch) then repainted in matte black. Inside, the bottom of the box bears a mention annotated in gray pencil: "robert [...] october 3, 1929" and purple ink stains in an angle. Materials: painted wood (interior and exterior tray) and natural wood (traces old paintings in places). Dimensions: l104 X p63 X h73.5 cm (highest part / inclined tray) Good general condition for its age, some traces of vrillettes (was fully treated), a slot on the tray on the width was the subject of an old restoration (2 perpendicular wood reinforcements visible inside) that we completed by a filling with the wood pulp, a slot in the inner bottom of the box on the entire width was also the subject of filling with the wood pulp (difference in hue). The choice was made not to paint the interior to hide the difference in hue related to the filling of the slot in order to preserve the old inscription and the purple ink stains that contribute to the charm and history of this piece of furniture.
