Dimensions: Length 130 cm, Height 74 cm, Depth 80 cm. Description: Hartmut Lohmeyer was a German architect and designer. Early in his career, he studied architecture at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he was taught by Egon Eiermann. He then worked as a freelance architect and designer and also taught for a time at the University of Alexandria in Cairo. He is now best known for his creations for the German manufacturer Wilhelmshaven, particularly the dining table presented here, dating from the 1950s. One of the most remarkable aspects of this piece is the contrast between teak and oak. The dark teak tabletop contrasts with the light oak base of the table. The rounded corners and tapered legs also contribute to its harmonious aesthetic. It can be described without exaggeration as a masterpiece! The tabletop shows moderate signs of wear.
