Hand-painted pitcher Vallauris

Pretty little glazed stoneware jug, made in Vallauris (Alpes-Maritimes), the historical cradle of French artisanal ceramics. Rounded body, flared neck with a spout and a curled handle, in the characteristic beige/cream tones of the glazes of the time. The decoration is hand-painted: a stylised flower motif with petals outlined in black, enhanced with touches of ochre and mustard yellow, with some foliage at the base. A charming jug, in the spirit of the decorative productions from Vallauris in the 1950s-1960s. Small loss of glaze at the spout visible in the photo.
