Sculpture vase

Vase in purple glazed earth, signed millet and dated 1976. Of good size, real sculpture in itself, one could see an ethnic statuette of anthropomorphic shape, decorated with reliefs and scarifications. This vase was pierced, probably with the intention of electrifying it for use at the foot of a lamp. It is in good general condition, no breakage but tiny scattered enamel jumps (visible in photo). It is a strong piece - which the pale color softens - and which by its organic form delivers a timeless and universal aesthetic.
