Superb antique sauce boat in Ironstone, delivered with its lid — a complete three-piece set in excellent condition. The lid features its original notch to allow for the serving spoon. Monochrome burgundy decoration on a white background, composed of finely detailed floral and vegetal friezes. "Ironstone" stamp in relief under the piece. Dating: between 1880 and 1900. Origin: Northern France. Some ferruginous inclusions from the firing on the lid that add to the authenticity of the piece. Very careful packaging.
