1980s “Tebe” floor lamp by Ernesto Gismondi for Artemide, Italy

A lovely floor lamp, model 'tebe', designed by ernesto gismondi and manufactured by artemide in italy circa 1980. The lamp has a sturdy black lacquered metal base with a round foot. Its sturdy appearance is offset by the elegant cream coloured glass shade in a semi-circle shape. This gives the piece a unique appeal, minimalist and modern yet beautifully finished with an elegant touch. When lit it emits a bright light upwards which adds a lovely warmth not only to the piece itself but also to the decor. A wonderful find that will be a fantastic addition to any interior! This beautiful piece of italian design remains in very good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
