Rocking chair in curved beech and cane

🔹 Type: •Rocking chair in bentwood, seat and back in natural cane, legs and armrests in steam-bent beech. 🔹 Probable origin: •Style Michael Thonet (Austria) or one of his successors (Fischel, Mundus, Kohn…). •May date from the late 19th century to the 1930s–50s, depending on the manufacturing details. •The curved work of the armrests and the large ornamental loops on the sides are typical of the Thonet house. ⸻ 📏 Characteristics: •Material: raw beech wood, sanded, steam-bent •Finish: light patina, slightly bleached by wear or stripped •Seat and back: original cane in good apparent condition •General condition: good Dimensions, 97 cm high 53 cm wide 100 cm deep 45 cm seat height.
