Oval dish from the French pottery Creil et Montereau, "Japon" service in slightly bluish glazed ironstone, round in shape, decorated with a pattern of plum trees, cherry trees, and blue chrysanthemums that run around the edge and the bottom of the dish. Also known as the "Monet" service, it has been produced since 1876 and reflects the significant influence of Japan at that time. This dish, bearing the stamp of 1895 on the back, is in very good overall condition as it shows no cracks or chips, although it does have a slightly cracked glaze with a hint of brown. Ideal for enhancing your kitchen, it will add a vintage and Japonese touch to your table decoration.
