Basket cutter on foot Braided barbotine Pichon Uzès

The basket is in very good condition, no breakage, no mabques. Note a slight wear on the somnets of the reliefs at the level of two flowers, visible on the photos of details. It comes from the workshops of the pichon house, which were created in the early nineteenth century, in uzès, in the south of france, and is one of the few fine pottery companies to have been found since then. This piece, made of clay cords braided like a vanery and decorated with flowers is typical of the work of the pichon house. Very beautiful provencal yellow color, for this traditional artisanal production of the 50s. The piece is marked on the reverse in hollow under enamel of the stamp of the earthenware, and signed.
