Set of japanese style chest of drawers in black lacquered bamboo

Period: ca. 1970. These two dressers are beautiful pieces of decoration while being practical. The taller, narrower room is topped by a curved pagoda-style platform, giving a samurai-style feel. It has four drawers with handles carved in faux bamboo. The other lower and longer room also has four drawers arranged two by two. Their surfaces consist of cut and aligned bamboo strips that have been lacquered black. The interior structure is made of fine mdf. Although they are robust, I advise you not to place a heavy load on them, like a television. Status: good. No damage. There are small, inconspicuous areas where the color of the bamboo appears through the black lacquer. Size: High piece: 79 cm high, 52.5 cm wide, 27 cm deep, 5 kg.
