He studied at the Minerva Academy in Groningen (1911-1913) and at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (1913-1917). Together with Frits Spanjaard, he belonged to the first generation of interior designers. They not only designed furniture, but also examined the space in which the furniture was placed. The armchair: The colourful armchair was designed by the Cor Alons design office in the early 1950s. The armchair was designed for C. Den Boer Meubelfabriek from Gouda. We chose to reupholster the armchair with a mottled fabric of 2-tone appearance, because the fabric contains a variety of colors including Cream, Gray and Flared Beige, but the main thing is flared Rededa green. The armchair has a teak structure with tapered legs, these are mounted on a black metal structure. The armchair also has 2 minimalist teak armrests. The chair looks slender in the photos, but the seating comfort is spacious and very pleasant. Salient detail: That we have equipped the chair with 2 so-called false cushions (1 cushion for the seat and 1 cushion for the backrest) 1 false cushion is fixed to the seat and the 2nd false cushion to the backrest. The false cushion of the backrest has been removed at the height of the armrests, so that the design blends into each other. After the total restoration, the armchair has a new look again. Size: 80 cm x 85 cm x 98 cm Condition: The chair is in very good condition. We can speak of new condition, since the chair has been restored by us.
