Great snowy landscape with figures, 18th century genre scene

Cod: 10852. Antique italian painting from the first half of the 18th century. Oil artwork on canvas depicting a splendid genre scene, snowy landscape with blacksmith's forge, of excellent pictorial quality. By genre painting we mean the representation of events from everyday life, such as markets and domestic interiors, or workers just as in our case. Painting that develops horizontally with numerous characters crowding under the branches of an immense, masterfully painted snow-covered tree. It should be noted how the artist managed to characterize every single moving figure with meticulous details of the clothes and work tools. In particular, the naturalistic elements such as snow, fire and the resulting chiaroscuro effects denote an absolute mastery of the pictorial technique. Large painting adorned with a spectacular 20th century frame, carved and gilded, beautifully decorated. Artwork that has undergone restoration with relining, replacement of the frame and restoration of color in some places (see photo). Overall in excellent state of conservation.
