Two delicate plates of field herbs listed, illustrated, colorized and edited by james sowerby; first in the line of english naturalist historians. The "sowerbys" published, wrote or illustrated more than one hundred works of natural history between 1780 and 1954. Excellent state of conservation also and its brown and green hues are still very fresh.
