Vintage Italian V V Carraresi Ceramic Chinese Peacock Lamp Base Wood Plinth

Beautiful vintage italian colourful ginger jar style table lamp signed V v carraresi. The lamp would have originally been a vase and has been electrified to make a table lamp. The lamp sits on a wooden plinth and is decorated with a oriental style floral design and a pair of stylized peacocks on the front. On the back of the lamp and under the base are red oriental symbols. The carraresi company was active between 1919 and 1967 was famous for creating beautiful ceramics itemsthe lamp is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks just light marks associated with a used item of its kind. The lamp is working with a gold colour flex a cream and gold on /off switch and a cream 2 pin european plug...we recommend that all electrical items are checked by a qualified electrician in your own country to comply with local safety regulations.
