Pair of antique French wall sconces, gilded and bronzed, from the 1920s.

We are delighted to offer for sale this exquisite pair of French wall sconces in gold and bronze dating from around 1920-1940. These candle lamps come from my favourite antique dealer in Belgium, along with several other sets of different sizes, some in gilded bronze and others in bronze with gilding, all originating from France and very decorative. These impressive sconces appear to hold candles but are actually electric lights. Used in homes to decorate large mirrors or oil paintings, they elevate the sophistication of a space. Their condition is sublime; they have been cleaned, waxed, and polished, ready to be installed. Dimensions: height 40 cm, width 29 cm, depth 11 cm. The condition is good, with minor wear and slight discolouration consistent with their age.
