Monoxyle stool in carved wood – Ivory Coast

Brought back from Côte d'Ivoire, this traditional stool has been entirely carved from a single block of solid wood. Its simple and balanced silhouette highlights the beauty of the material: a thick circular seat resting on four flared legs, whose gentle lines testify to handcrafted work. The shrinkage cracks, the irregularities of the wood, and the deep patina tell the story of this piece and emphasise its authenticity.
