Ceramic luminaire, pair of wall sconces from the 1980s, made of glazed ceramic in the shape of a shell, signed by Robert de Schuytener. The model is named "Trianon." The flutes start from a silver-plated cabochon at the bottom and then fan out to a scalloped edge. The glaze imitates malachite, a semi-precious stone of intense green, without being one: a deep bottle green, almost black in the recesses, streaked with light green marbling. The green changes with the light in the room. The two sconces form a true pair: identical in shape and decoration, and in the same impeccable condition. The bowl is open at the top. On the back, a plate with two oblong holes allows for adjustment when mounting on the wall. The original labels are still there: the model reference, "Trianon" 753871, and the number of the workshop assembler, number 10. Condition: impeccable condition for both sconces, with no chips or cracks in the glaze. Functional electricity. Bulbs not included. E27 socket, for a bulb with a maximum diameter of 45 mm. Dimensions: L.35 x D.14.5 x H.28 cm (per sconce).
