Rainer Daumiller is a furniture designer born in Germany and immigrated to Denmark in 1959. His sculptural wooden furniture reflects his love for natural materials and his connection to nature. His work is heavily influenced by the ideas of Austrian philosopher, social reformer, and architect Rudolf Steiner. The designer created the Daumiller chair and table in 1977, now his most famous creation. Recently reissued by Gubi, this chair is currently experiencing a renaissance. Designed to be both functional and playful, this chair is appreciated by all, especially for its comfort. The set consists of four sculptural chairs. These ergonomic pine chairs are sculpted to perfectly fit the shapes of the body, while their sleek design adapts to all tastes and styles. Thanks to their ergonomic and timeless design and the quality of their materials, we suggest using several around a dining table or pairing one with your workspace for comfortable use. Daumiller aimed to create a robust chair suitable for everyday use, capable of withstanding intensive use, even by children, while being suitable for adult meals. He was inspired by traditional Danish milking stools and Hans J. Wegner's Chinese chair. All pieces are in excellent condition and bear a stamp. The chairs show signs of regular wear. Height: 78 cm (30.7 in), width (with armrests): 62 cm (24.4 in), depth: 47 cm (18.5 in), seat height: 45 cm (17.7 in).
