Important earthenware vase stamped with the de bruyn house, renowned earthenware factory in the fives district of lille, from 1864 until its closure in 1950. This ceramic decorated with butterflies and thistles, bearing the reference "no. 3185 bis", has been published in different colors. It has a midnight blue background, while the pretty relief decorations, as well as the handles reminiscent of a chrysalis, have a nuanced water green tone. This vase of consequent dimensions, vestige of a french know-how now disappeared, will please with its deep hues and harmonious ornaments. ******** Period: early twentieth century.
