Lucite, glass & travertine coffee table italian 1970s vintage mid-century

An impressive, large coffee table imported from italy and consisting of a travertine central cube, from which protrudes four clear lucite keys secured by brass fittings. This supports a mammoth pane of bevelled and reinforced glass, 1.5cm thick and of a strength not often seen. The base fits the glass at an x, creating a pleasingly geometric pattern underneath the glass. As this piece is from the 1970s, there is some wear to be expected - in the form of the odd scratch here or there on the lucite and travertine cube. Some patina on the brass fittings.
