This superb architect or draughtsman lamp with double articulated arms adds an instant retro-chic touch. Stamped "Patent AZ-MD" (quality French manufacturing from the 1960s/1970s), it stands out for: • A fluid parallel double arm in chrome-plated steel. • A robust articulation ball joint in aluminium cast and large black bakelite/plastic tightening knobs typical of the era. • A brushed aluminium reflector bell, topped with a black perforated cylindrical grille (original thermal heat dissipator with a superb graphic look). • A double metal clamp fixing system allowing it to be securely attached to any table top, shelf, or high furniture. Condition: Generally in beautiful vintage condition with a superb patina of time. Original functional electricity. Some light signs of use or discreet micro-scratches on the reflector that confirm its authenticity. The edge of the lampshade shows very slight deformation in places with a small bump, but this remains discreet and does not detract from its superb profile or light diffusion.
