Old oval photo frame late nineteenth in wood and plaster

Rare find! This old photo frame of the victorian era dating from the second half of the nineteenth century, was entirely handmade. A plaster cast carved with flowers and geometric patterns and lines was directly glued to its solid wood structure. The whole thing was painted in gold. The glass is intact. Despite its age the setting is in good vintage condition. The back of the frame consists of a thick cardboard plate enclosed by small nails and a screwed back fastener for fixing to the wall using a rope. Weight: 1.8 kg.
