Lady's Commode in Marquetry. Louis XV style, high-quality work from the 20th century. Charming lady's commode in a kidney shape made of rosewood and geometric marquetry, resting on four elegant curved legs ending in gilded bronze hooves. The top features a remarkable marquetry decoration in butterfly wings, framed by a frieze and enhanced with stylised corner pieces. The front reveals an ingenious interior layout consisting of six drawers and compartments intended for sewing supplies, correspondence, or jewellery. A side drawer lined with fabric completes the ensemble. The curved sides are made of rosewood arranged in herringbone. The lock and keyholes are adorned with finely chiselled gilded bronze. This elegant lady's table is a refined decorative piece, ideal as a salon table, jewellery cabinet, or small occasional desk. Condition. Overall good condition. Structure is sound and stable. Very beautiful marquetry. Presence of usage scratches, wear to the varnish, and small old accidents on the top and edges, visible in the photographs. Complete interior with its drawers. Dimensions.
