Terafeu-Terafour brand tagine dish, made in France (Basque country), in refractory earth

This tagine dish can be used in cooking, but also for decoration. Very beautiful object to decorate a cottage or country interior, with other pottery and enameled ceramics. Dimensions of the tagine: diameter 33 cm for a height of 22 cm, capacity of 2.3 l. Signed decoration on the lid. Dish signed terafeu on the underside. The terafeu tagine dish is handmade in France, made from lead-free enameled refractory earth and fired at 1200°c. This refractory earth (natural clay) is the best material for bringing out the flavor of food through cooking, here stewing, and for keeping your food soft. Furthermore, clay being a natural insulator, this tagine maintains heat for a long time after cooking, if the food is kept locked under the lid, in its dish. Please note, however: this tagine dish is only suitable for gas or electric ovens. It is, however, presented by its manufacturer terafeu-terafour as being dishwasher safe. Initial precautions: the manufacturer recommends that your tagine be soaked for 2 hours in cold water before first use. After too long of non-use, the manufacturer also recommends wetting the bottom of the dish with a tap before use. Never use a blender, nor cut food, which must, once cooked, be taken out and cut onto a dish other than that of the tagine, to preserve the enamel. Never preheat the earth or the heat diffuser (your oven): fill your tagine with the food you want to cook in it, then only put it in the oven and turn on the oven, for a rise in temperature that accompanies that of the oven. It is imperative that heat be stored by the earth slowly and gradually. User guide provided. Sending in a double-shell package: your tagine dish is first packaged in bubble wrap in a first box, itself in turn packaged and protected from moving bubbles in a second, larger box.
