Gondola Bergère – Louis XV Style – Carved Walnut – Bronze Nails

Louis XV style bergère gondola, with a wide enveloping backrest featuring the characteristic curved lines of the gondola shape. Structure made of carved walnut wood, stable and solid. The crest of the backrest is adorned with a centred floral motif — a blooming rose surrounded by foliage — executed with care. The lower belt also features a central carved motif. The entire perimeter is accented by a row of patinated bronze/brass upholstery nails. The red fabric upholstery shows general wear and a significant tear at the junction of the backrest/left armrest, exposing the internal stuffing. Reupholstering is necessary; this service can be provided by the seller's workshop upon request. Workshop report: the wooden structure is entirely original, with a stable frame requiring no intervention. Reupholstering is to be expected.
