Very beautiful and large Empire style bouillotte lamp, by the French bronzier: Lucien GAU. Manufacturer from the Faubourg Saint Antoine, in Paris. Manufactured in the second half of the 20th century. Made of bronze. Original gilding and patina, very good condition with a beautiful shine. Note, two wear marks on the gilding; see the 2 photos with the red colored circle. The lamp base is decorated with palmettes topped with a light in the shape of an oil lamp, with an eagle's head; very original. The lampshade, in sheet metal, is green in color with a crackled effect. It contains a decoration with volutes and golden edging. It is in perfect condition. Adjustable in height thanks to a key, with a palmette decoration, in bronze. Plug and switch installed and tested; new electrical system (for E14 bulb). Candle in cardboard, perfect condition. The lamp is stamped under the foot: LG, for Lucien Gau (see last photo, taken when the lamp was dismantled to redo the electricity and clean it).
