This magnificent baluster vase is made of canton porcelain, made in china at the end of the nineteenth century. Canton porcelain, also called cantonese porcelain, is a typical and characteristic style decorated in guangzhou city. Guangzhou is the capital and largest city of guangdong province in southern china. In the 18th and 20th centuries, porcelain objects were the largest export produced in china. This vase has double handles on each side, with animal and golden shapes. We see a polychrome decoration with plant and floral motifs, with a frieze at the bottom.
