Mid Century Floral Still Life in Oil - 'Crimson'

A vibrant floral still life in oil, painted in an impressionist manner. Earthy shades of red and orange flowers contrast with the brighter palette of whites and yellow. The flowers sit within a blue-grey vase, which offsets the warmer tones perfectly. The painted is very textured, with areas of impasto where thick paint has been applied. This beautiful piece is set within a gilt frame with an inner grey border. Painting and frame are in very good vintage condition overall, with only some minor marks to the inner border of the frame which are not obvious enough to detract from the piece.
