Cuba armchairs, ILVA Design, Denmark

Pair of "cuba" chairs or armchairs produced by the Danish luxury furniture company ilva design, inspired by the "timeless" project by antonio citterio. Heavy, solid and very elegant, an X-shaped frame in chromed steel on which the leather has been stretched, this chair is a postmodern interpretation of a classic mid-century icon. This rare version is in a thick black leather imitating snakeskin. Both are in original vintage condition with some "cracks" visible in the leather, especially at the fasteners. But both are still fully operational as is and, for enthusiasts, can be the subject of a leather restoration or a change of upholstery. Very small price for this pair, which of course takes into account these details.
