Bookcase by Vittorio Dassi for Dassi Milano, Italy, 1960s

Stunning and difficult to acquire italian freestanding furniture set from the 1950s and 1960s designed by vittorio dassi and manufactured by dassi milano. The entire piece is made of teak wood, brass details, laminate, glass and black painted metal. It consists of three parts: four shelves, a magazine rack, a bar and a small cabinet, which are supported by four vertical posts. The posts stand on teak support rails with small round brass adjustable legs. Each piece is hung on solid brass screws with round brass washers between them. The furniture bears signs of use and time, with some veneer loss in places.
