Marset Discoco Suspension

Very beautiful Marset Discoco 53 Suspension. Vintage brown from the 70s. Diameter 53 X H 42.5 cm. 3 petals missing and some wear to the brown paint. Like a cloud of delicate petals, this suspension consists of 32 ABS discs assembled to form a sphere. (3 petals are missing, which is not an issue as you can choose the positions of the petals.) It offers a unique sculptural design and a superb play of shadow and light. The fragmented light filters through the multiple openings, enveloping the lampshade in a soft and decorative luminous halo that highlights the reliefs of its surface. The overlapping petals serve as light reflectors: their arrangement has been designed to provide both intense and direct lighting while preventing glare. Depending on the angle of view, Discocó offers a different luminous effect that emphasises the model's aesthetics. Design by Christophe Mathieu for Marset, Materials: chrome spheres. 35 moulded ABS discs. #vintage. #70s. #disco.
