Square porcelain plate Sarreguemines model Minton 215 with Japonese decoration.

This charming and rare square dish is made of Sarreguemines porcelain with a floral decoration. From the Minton 215 model, this dish bears the Sarreguemines mark: the green Lorraine coat of arms. It dates from the late 19th century. The Japonisme decoration is elegant with stylised flowers that unfold. It features a screen-printed design enhanced with hand-painted polychromy. Along the edge, a frieze in blue-green tones highlights the outline. These decorations of English origin, from Mintons, were acquired by Sarreguemines from the Fismes factory in the 19th century. In generally good condition, there are signs of use with scratches and some wear to the polychromy. Dimensions: 22 X 25 cm.
