Description
Very beautiful plaster frieze from an old moulding collection of a school of fine arts, probably late 19th century. This model is composed of flowers, leaves, arabic and birds. The structure of the plaster is supported inside with metal rods. One notices that with the moisture that can be contained in the plaster, that the rust is raised, and draws subtle marks on the frieze. These marks are much more visible at the back of the frieze. There's a hook on the top of the frieze. If you look closely, there is a small and very thin crack on the plaster center, but this one is very solid and robust nonetheless. Some accidents on the plaster and around, as indicated in the photos, due to his old age. - Dimensions - l 37 X h 104.5 X p 7 cm.
