Black Metal and Glazed Ceramic Coffee Table, Stylised Bird Decoration, Work from the 1960s-1970s. Elegant square coffee table from the 1960s-1970s, featuring a structure in black lacquered metal supporting a top made of glazed ceramic tiles. The top is composed of nine tiles decorated with stylised bird motifs inspired by folk art and radiant geometric compositions. The glazes showcase beautiful shades of ochre yellow, brown, and beige, characteristic of ceramic production in the second half of the 20th century. The simple and graphic black metal structure particularly highlights the decoration of the tiles. A lower wooden shelf provides additional storage or display space. The whole evokes French and Scandinavian creations from the 1960s-1970s, in the spirit of the works of Roger Capron, Jacques Blin, or the workshops of Vallauris, without certain attribution.
