Pressed vase from the 1950s, produced at the Bolesław Morawski Glassworks in Radomsko, made of rosé glass in a warm, peach-pink shade. The material is slightly transparent, with a satin, delicately matte finish. Around the body are distinct, embossed decorations – geometric rosettes and interlacing arches – typical of post-war Central European design. The noticeable, relief texture of the glass is complemented by structural grooves, which emphasize the depth of the decoration and provide a secure grip. The base is thick and massive, ensuring the stability of the form. The upper edge of the vase is irregular; there are visible chips formed over the decades. No signs of modern repairs or restoration. Preserved in good condition, with typical signs of use and minor damage on the rim. The vase tells the story of post-war Poland – a time when the pride of local craftsmanship intertwined with the ubiquity of utilitarian glass. The matte rosé glass draws from the lightness and optimism of the 1950s, but the subtle domain of concave-convex patterns also evokes earlier Art Deco motifs. With every touch of the reliefs, you can almost feel the rhythm of the factory: the echoes of pressing, the echo of the workshop where ordinary glass gained both functional and decorative dimensions. Small chips on the rim and visible scratches do not detract from its authentic, everyday charm – they are rather a testament to the journey it has taken over the decades. The vase will work as a solo accent on a low sideboard in the living room or on a bright windowsill, where the subtle colour of the glass will bring out soft daylight. It can be combined with other pressed glass vessels from the mid-20th century or set in contrast to the neutral tones of a minimalist interior. As a vase for single branches or as an empty collector's object, it will fit well in vintage, mid-century modern arrangements, as well as in interiors referencing the Central European nostalgia of the 1950s.
