Description
Lounge chair by wilhelm von bode for steiner armchair 1950s. Both simple and ingenious, we love the "bow wood" seats published by hugues steiner in the 1950s. The base is made of a single piece of curved solid wood. A metal ring, the only attachment point, joins the base and backrest, ensuring flexibility and great seating comfort. Steiner uses wood bending techniques to produce pieces with a bold and resolutely modern design. This furniture, an invention of the middle of the century, meets the production requirements of the time, which required industrialized but humane techniques. This model of lounge chair is not common, it has large armrests "spatulas", highlighting the grain of the wood. The structure of the chair is made of curved solid wood. The color is soft. The seat is soft, 45 cm wide (61 cm maximum width) and 46 cm deep, 45 cm seat height and 82 cm total height.
