Harvey Guzzini design 1972, Height 32 cm This lamp is a limited reissue from 2010, produced at one time by Nemo for Cassina. It is made with molds of the first existing model with a recessed bulb therefore disappearing like in the film Space 1999 then remade with an external bulb. It has small marks and scratches considering its age with a slight depression on the front face of the diffuser but has no signs of falling or melting. Sorella is a compact table lamp with a protruding, seemingly unstable shape. The idea came from Adolfo Guzzini, fascinated by the shape of the air vents of the boat on which he spent family holidays. Returning to the company with some sketches, he worked with the technical office to transform his idea into a luminous object. Two symmetrical parts meet in the center of the body to reproduce the complex and elegant flared shape of the sun visor. The stability problem is solved by a weight placed inside the base, which allows the lamp to maintain an oblique position relative to the surface on which it is placed. Reissued by the NEMO company in 2010, this lamp has been used as a set in many films such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Space: 1999 and Star Trek. The label is present - it has come off but is provided.
