This ancient turned wooden vase, probably made of olive or fruit wood, has all the qualities of a small poetic totem that can be placed on a table, a shelf, or a mantelpiece to warm up the decor. Its light wood, veined with darker shades, has been turned into two stacked volumes: a curved base and a flared neck, like a bowl ready to hold a few dried stems or a small wildflower bouquet. The surface bears slight traces of time, and the foot has a noticeable crack (see photos) that does not prevent the vase from standing upright. It is recommended for dried flowers, branches, or as a simple sculptural object, in order to preserve its wood and balance. A sober, natural piece full of character, ideal for adding a touch of raw material to a bohemian, chic country, or wabi-sabi interior.
