Old world map from the 17th century, circa 1670-1700 annotated in german. Double hemisphere representation similar to the maps of david funck (1642-1709) who was a printer, publisher, engraver and bookseller in nuremberg, active from 1680 to 1705. World map, geographic map the map is based on the 1668 map by frederick de wit.it is illustrated with four large allegorical scenes representing the four elements: fire, air, water and earth. These allegories are separated at the top and bottom by two small pole maps. This is a 20th century print under glass, wooden frame. Dimensions: 65 X 47 X 2.2 cm.
