3150 – accolay metal and ceramic lamp (1945-1989) from the 1960s/1970s, this ambient lamp in openwork metal and ceramic typical of accolay pottery in good condition. No cracks or chips. Old and functional wires, switch and electrical outlet. Brass bayonet socket for b22 type bulb (not supplied for safety reasons). The base is a metal cylinder pierced with a blowtorch, the lower part of which has been worked to form the base, topped by a conical lampshade in chamotte ceramic with ethnic-inspired graphic decoration held together by a clever system just like the one now the socket and the bulb in its place. Total height 635mm X 164mm. Weight 2230 g. Very careful and tracked shipping. For information, the accolay pottery active from 1945 to 1989, installed in the village of accolay on the old nationale 6 in the department of yonne in burgundy, refers to a community of potters formed by 4 former students of the ceramist alexandre kostanda (1924-2007), andré boutaud, louis dangon, slavik palay and raude (or rodet)). Holidaymakers, going to or returning from the south, could stop along the way at the various exhibition sites, located on the rn 6 but also the rn 7, exhibiting this production distinguished by great technical inventiveness and abundant production. The 3 monumental ceramics manufactured in the 1960s and which dominated the vermenton exhibition store were installed in the territory of the commune of accolay.
