Rattan chair, Rohé Noordwolde, 1950

Armchair/long chair in rohe noordwolde rattan, Dutch design from the middle of the last century. Made in the Netherlands in the 50s/60s. Bamboo/rattan construction with a black metal base. This chair is decorated with a pretty rounded pattern in the backrest. It is in very good condition. A slightly faded patina, but no missing or breakage.  very stable. In 1949, Rohe Noordwolde founded his rattan furniture manufacturing company, which quickly became one of the largest in the country. Creations that we recognize for their simplicity and elegance and which helped to popularize rattan furniture. The designer died in 1994, his creations are exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.
