10-spoke ship helm - large piece (marked on the photo) or 1.85 m in diameter. Period: around the year 1900. Ghent family origin, from a line of navigators. Provenance: installed in a Flemish towboat, dedicated to the transport of flax, being dismantled during the 2nd World War. Wood: outer barge bar is made of ash and the rest was shaped into acacia or locust. With great certainty of acacia. But both acacia and locust were frequently used for parts intended for ships because they were very resistant to humid air. Destination: may be suitable for decoration on a wall or a future table support... According to the desires and the creative idea or simply the respect of the authentic piece. No restoration or rejuvenation was applied in order to preserve the state of authenticity of this room. It is therefore virgin of any restoration. The asking price accurately reflects the condition of the room. Asking price 4000 euros + transport costs at the expense of the buyer However, we can help you arrange transportation at your own expense More photos on request Possible negotiations
