Vintage armchair Attr. Louis van Teeffelen for Wébé

A beautifully designed Mid Century armchair is the best way to describe this model. This armchair with its special details in the design still makes the origin a bit of a mystery, because it is still unclear to this day which manufacturer or designer is responsible for this unique and beautiful design. We do see clear influences in both design and material use from Pynock, Awa and WéBé. The designer on duty looked at various designs from these brands and used characteristic elements to come up with a new design. We see style elements from big names such as Louis van Teeffelen, Paul M. Volther and Arne Hovmand Olsen. Presumably this is an armchair from an unknown Dutch manufacturer, perhaps made on behalf of a large retail company. However, many sources report that this model is actually a design by Louis van Teeffelen, which cannot be ruled out. Present is a very beautiful and apparently simple but functional chair frame made of teak wood with a beautiful warm color. The whole looks "rich" and elegant and, when you look at it a little longer, besides being graceful, it can even be called impressively striking in shape. A piece of seating furniture that is designed according to the characteristic organic style that characterizes furniture from this early 1960s period. Condition. This armchair has been neatly restored structurally, the woodwork is beautiful, the joints are in order. The filling and upholstery have been completely replaced by our craftsmen with the best materials, and are therefore ready for many years of living pleasure. The fabric. The fabric Odense from the Switch company has been used in a dark green color, a first-class furniture fabric with a bouclé effect and a vintage look and feel.
