Beautiful Murano vase, sommerso glass by Arte Nuova, 1950s. This vase still bears the original vignette mentioning that this creation won the grand prize at the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. Central part of orange glass embedded in transparent glass (process called "sommerso": overlay of different colors of glass). Elegant and slender in shape, this rare object is very decorative. Arte Nuova Murano glassware was founded in Murano in 1954 by Itamo Pustetto and Lizio Zanetti. The company was famous for its built-in sommerso designs, most of which were designed by Pustetto, Nino d'Este and Aldo Fuga. The factory closed in 1968. Height: 21 cm - maximum width: 11 cm (6 cm at the collar) - Profile width: 5 cm at the base, 3 cm at the collar - weight: 800 grams. Very nice condition, no cracks, no shrapnel. Note some tiny traces of scratches related to use and age, barely visible. Sending fast and neat, in parcel followed. I attach great importance to the most accurate description of my objects as possible, as well as to the photos. But don't hesitate to contact me for more information.
