Old saintonge pottery from la chapelle-des-pots from the 19th century. It is an oil cruet with its two handles and its pouring spout. In good condition. For the record: the ceramic craftsmanship of la chapelle-des-pots is ancient. It appeared in the 13th century, in this wooded region of saintonge with numerous pottery workshops renowned for their green glazed products. Bernard palissy learned the art of ceramics there by working with local potters. It was a rural and family craft. Dimensions: height: 24 cm width: 20 cm (with handles).
